A Little Piece of NYC in DTLA at Library Bar

If you talk to most any New Yorker, they'll tell you of the love affair they have with the city. Kathleen Kelly in You've Got Mail, Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. The list goes on of the people who've memorialized their love for the big apple on the silver and small screen. Our downtown doesn’t quite live up to the skyscrapers of NYC, but to any NYC romantic, the Library Bar makes you feel right at home, as if you were sitting at a corner bar off Manhattan’s Broadway and Union.

The space opens up to a library type living room on one side, and the bar itself on the wall opposite it. An additional small area of seating lies just beyond the bar but the tufted leather couches surrounded by a candlelit fire place and shelves lined with books is the place to sit.

Remember it’s in Downtown LA and if there’s an area in LA that could be deemed the hardest for parking, it’s (West Hollywood and) DTLA. Think ahead if you’d rather uber or add to your budget for the night a parking garage fee.

Happy hour is 3pm - 7pm daily and the pork belly skewers are mouthwateringly delicious. With drinks like The New York Sour, Hemingway Daiquiri, and Tequila Mockingbird, The Library Bar is quite like a New Yorker’s tribute to classic drinks and classic tales.
