An All Day, Everyday Kind of Experience at Pilot DTLA

Re-openings in LA have been on the rise as COVID case are on the decline and getting to finally go to places like Pilot DTLA ALMOST makes the year wait worth it. (Almost…) It has ALL THE VIBES and we are HERE FOR IT. A coastal Mediterranean restaurant, pool, bar and lounge atop the roof of The Hoxton hotel, Pilot DTLA prides its on think fire cooking, laidback snacks, chilled seafood displays and playful cocktails. Whether it’s sunny Sunday brunch or a romantic dinner under the stars, (well more like city lights because let’s be honest, when was the last time you saw actual stars in LA?) I’ve been so impressed with how Pilot perfectly curates each experience.

In typical downtown fashion, parking is tricky. Whether it’s street parking or lot, you’ll definitely There really isn’t a bad place to sit between the patio seating and inside dining. And if the night gets wild, you can always wander downstairs to the hotel and book a room. need to account for paying (too much) for parking. But there’s just no other way around it in DTLA. Another perk to Pilot during this post-COVID time? They have a happy hour! It’s completely understandable that a lot of restaurants of removed their happy hour prices to make up for the losses they endured in the last year. Pilot’s happy hour brings you only drinks, mostly half price what they would be. The bar menu is great for shared dishes like the fried artichoke hearts or the red pepper hummus.

Not on happy hour but worth the extra change for the photo op, try the "‘Honeybear On Holiday’. Each drink comes with an actual honey bear you would buy from the grocery store, placed upside down to top the crushed ice. It’s a sweet tequila drink but you’ll most definitely be getting just to say your tried the drink with a honey bear on top. The dinner menu is simple and easy to navigate, with at least one option for meat, seafood, pasta, or pizzas. There really isn't a bad seat in the whole place, with both the indoor dining and patio seating curating such an aesthetically pleasing experience. If you're wanting the full experience and a little stay-cation, book a room for the night to experience the same gorgeous decor and vibe at The Hoxton that this rooftop restaurant has.
